The Family
Do Chay was founded by the Do family in 2019. The Do's have been an integral part of Vietnamese cuisine in Vancouver since 1984 when they opened their first restaurant on Kingsway. Since then they have had 6 restaurants throughout Vancouver, Richmond and Burnaby.
With Do Chay the torch is being passed from the parents to their son and daughter. This restaurant represents a multi-generational love of cooking Vietnamese food in the city that they call home.
Meet The Team
Yen Do
Chef
Yen has spent her career cooking authentic Veitnamese cuisine in Vancouver. She has perfected the art of brining family dinners at the Do household to the restaurant.
When Yen isn't in the kitchen she enjoys playing golf on one of the many courses in Vancouver.
Patrick Do
Chef
Taking over the reins from Yen, Patrick has put his own creative stamp on what Vietnamese food means to him.
Being inspired by all the fresh, healthy, local ingredients Vancouver has to offer, he set out to create sustainable food that is deeply grounded in his family's roots.
Amanda Clark
General Manager
Taking charge over the Kingsway location, Amanda has organized a team that will ensure your visit is enjoyable, friendly, and most importantly tasty!
